Established in 1855 as one of the first settler farms in the pastoral Mount Newton Valley, Bannockburn is a Central Saanich designated heritage site. Owned today by the Miles family, who arrived as settlers on the Saanich Peninsula in the 1880s, Bannockburn remains a working family farm and, in a tradition dating back to 1858, a rural guesthouse.

To learn more about the history of Bannockburn and the heritage walk that runs past the property, please see the Central Saanich heritage walk brochure and local history articles.

Heritage farm tours are offered regularly from April 15 to July 4 and on select occasions during the rest of the year. Tours may be booked on the calendar. Guests can also stay overnight at Bannockburn Farm, a licensed bed and breakfast, seasonally.
